With heavy hearts…💔 Keanu Reeves needs our prayers and support 🙏
Keanu Reeves, beloved for both his talent and kindness, recently shared a surprising story about an injury he sustained while filming his new comedy, *Good Fortune*. Fans were alarmed to learn the injury wasn’t from an intense stunt but a simple accident.
On *The Late Show with Stephen Colbert*, Reeves explained that the mishap happened after shooting a scene involving a cold plunge with Aziz Ansari and Seth Rogen. After finishing the scene, he performed his usual “cold shuffle” across a carpeted floor—only to catch his foot in a carpet pocket. Reeves stood up during the interview to demonstrate how his knee suddenly buckled.
“I spiked. Just drove it into the ground,” he said, revealing that the impact shattered his kneecap. “My patella cracked like a potato chip,” he added.
Colbert joked about Reeves’ history of daring stunts, but Keanu clarified this injury was far less glamorous. “This wasn’t an action film,” he said with a smirk. “Comedy is hard, man.”
Despite the painful injury, Reeves was seen filming on crutches in January, determined to keep working. The cast of *Good Fortune* includes Aziz Ansari—who also wrote, co-produced, and directed the film—alongside Sandra Oh and Keke Palmer.
Fans can rest assured that Keanu is recovering well and continuing to work hard on the project. His resilience and humor through the injury remind us why he’s so admired both on and off the screen.
