People Can’t Believe How This Woman Looks After Getting A $11k Nose Job👀💬
A Philadelphia woman is gaining national attention for candidly documenting her plastic surgery journey — and she says it has completely transformed her confidence.
Devyn Aiken, 30, has built a following of more than 61,000 on TikTok by sharing unfiltered updates about her recent rhinoplasty. For her, the surgery wasn’t about chasing perfection but addressing something that had bothered her for years.
“I’ve always thought I was pretty. I never considered myself ugly,” Aiken told *PEOPLE*. “I just hated my nose. That’s all.”
Her discomfort began in middle school when classmates cruelly nicknamed her “bird” and “Toucan Sam.” The teasing left her feeling like her nose overshadowed every other feature. At just 14, she asked her mom for a nose job, but the procedure remained financially out of reach until last year.
After years of saving and consulting multiple doctors, Aiken underwent surgery last November with Dr. Mark Ginsburg, a triple board-certified plastic surgeon and ENT, at a cost of \$11,000. She specifically chose a specialist who could ensure both aesthetic results and safe breathing. “I didn’t want a Barbie nose,” she explained. “I just wanted something natural that fit my face.”

She told her family only a week before the procedure — not out of shame but to avoid being talked out of it. The night before, she was so anxious she made herself physically ill, but she knew it was the right decision. Her mom helped care for her through recovery, which Aiken documented online from day one. Her transparency, showing the bruising and swelling as well as the improvements, resonated with thousands. “I wanted people to see everything — the good, the bad, the ugly,” she said.
Now fully healed, Aiken says the surgery has been “life-changing.” She feels more comfortable in public, more confident in photos, and, most importantly, happy when she looks in the mirror. While critics accuse her of being “fake,” she disagrees: “I’m not trying to be someone else. I just improved what I already had.”
For Aiken, the \$11,000 was well spent. “Best decision of my life,” she said. “You can plainly see the confidence in my smile.”
