After ten years of marriage, my husband suddenly announced he wanted a divorce. He said he’d been unhappy for years and wanted to put all his energy into his career. I suggested selling our house so we could both move on, but he insisted we shouldn’t because the low mortgage benefited him financially. Before I even had time to process everything, he was already dating someone else.

I was stunned by how quickly everything changed. But the situation became even more unbelievable when I came home one day and found his new girlfriend standing in my kitchen, wearing my pajamas. For a moment, I could barely speak. It felt like stepping into a version of my life that no longer belonged to me.
