A heartbreaking tragedy struck a Tennessee community when newlyweds Jessiah Plemons and Lily Rose, along with their friend Madison Davis, lost their lives in a fatal highway accident less than 48 hours after their wedding.
According to Knoxville Police, the accident happened early Sunday morning around 3 a.m. on the Weisgarber exit ramp off Interstate 40. Their Dodge pickup veered off the road and hit a guardrail. After exiting the vehicle, the trio was struck by a Chevy pickup, resulting in the deaths of all three at the scene. The Chevy driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Jessiah and Lily’s love story was just beginning. Lily was known for her bubbly spirit and joyfulness, often seen creating TikTok videos with friends and family. Her aunt, Selena McClelland, recalled, “Lily was just the life of our family. Her laughter would fill the room.”
Jessiah’s passion for music bonded the couple—he introduced Lily to her first concert and gifted her first guitar, while he learned drums. Having overcome addiction, Jessiah dedicated himself to helping others, sharing his story in local jails and sponsoring those in recovery. He also cared deeply for his sister’s children, providing them a stable home.
Lily was a devoted mother to their two children, and the couple planned to blend their families of six. They had eloped secretly, with even family unaware of their wedding until after the accident.
The community mourns the loss of three young lives filled with love, hope, and dreams for the future.
