Pheobe Bishop missed her scheduled flight and was last seen at the airport carrying luggage. 💔
Kylie Johnson, mother of missing 17-year-old Phoebe Bishop, has shared a devastating update on Facebook after Queensland Police reported finding human remains during the ongoing search. Phoebe disappeared on May 15 after failing to check in for a flight from Bundaberg Regional Airport. She was last seen around 8:30 a.m., dropped off by housemates James Wood and Tanika Bromley—who have since been charged in connection with her death.
On June 6, police confirmed that possible human remains were found near Good Night Scrub National Park. Though the remains have not yet been formally identified, police have notified Phoebe’s family and declared the site a crime scene. In an emotional Facebook post, Johnson wrote, “I didn’t think my heart could break anymore than it did when you went missing… but this is ripping me apart.”
A community vigil is planned for June 8 in Gin Gin’s Kolan Community Park to honor Phoebe’s life and support local healing. Attendees are encouraged to wear bright colors and bring candles. “Our world has just been shattered into the most horrific place I’ve ever been,” Johnson said, thanking the community for their overwhelming support.
Police continue to investigate and appeal for information regarding the movements of a grey Hyundai IX35 between May 15–18. The remains are undergoing forensic testing, which may take time to confirm identity.
