Jada Pinkett Smith, 52, renowned actress and host of *Red Table Talk*, has made headlines again after opening up about her affair with hip-hop singer August Alsina, now 31. Jada and her husband, Hollywood legend Will Smith, have been married since 1997 and share two children: Jaden, 26, and Willow, 23.
The couple’s marriage has faced intense public scrutiny, especially after the 2022 Oscars incident, where Will Smith infamously slapped comedian Chris Rock for joking about Jada’s shaved head, a result of her alopecia.
In a 2020 *Red Table Talk* episode, Jada described her relationship with Alsina as an “entanglement” that began during a difficult period in her marriage. She clarified that only she could give “permission” for such a relationship, addressing rumors about Will’s involvement.
More recently, Jada revealed that she and Will have been living “completely different” lives since 2016 but remain committed to working through their challenges. “We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us,” she told *People* magazine.
Will Smith, reflecting on their relationship, noted, “When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in, and you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties.”
