Photos of NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal enjoying a sunny day aboard a luxury yacht in Spain have resurfaced online, attracting fresh attention years after they were originally taken.

The images date back to July 2019, when O’Neal was traveling through Europe and making appearances as DJ Diesel. During some downtime, the former NBA superstar was photographed relaxing aboard a yacht near Formentera, Spain.

Shaq Seen With a Female Companion

Several of the photographs show O’Neal spending time with a woman while surrounded by other people aboard the yacht. In some images, the pair appear close and comfortable together, which naturally sparked speculation about their relationship.

However, reports surrounding the photographs have varied, and there was no clear public confirmation from O’Neal establishing the woman as his girlfriend. For that reason, describing her simply as a female companion is more accurate than presenting speculation as fact.

Old Photos Find a New Audience

The yacht photographs have resurfaced multiple times on social media, sometimes accompanied by claims suggesting they are recent. In reality, O’Neal was 47 years old when the photos were taken in 2019.

The images capture the basketball icon enjoying some time away from work, swimming, relaxing with friends, and making the most of his European trip.

Years later, the photographs demonstrate how easily older celebrity moments can suddenly become viral again—especially when new captions cause people to believe they happened recently.
