Jenna Ortega has sparked widespread discussion after appearing in intimate scenes alongside significantly older actors, leaving some fans surprised by her bold career choices.

The actress, best known for playing Wednesday Addams in Netflix’s hit series “Wednesday,” attracted attention for her role in the 2024 psychological drama “Miller’s Girl,” where she starred opposite Martin Freeman.

Ortega, who was 21 when the film was released, shared the screen with Freeman, then 52, in a controversial storyline involving a student and her teacher. Certain scenes quickly circulated online, prompting conversations about age differences, power dynamics, and boundaries in Hollywood.

However, this wasn’t Ortega’s first experience with mature material.

In the 2022 horror film “X,” she appeared alongside rapper and actor Kid Cudi, who was 37 at the time, while Ortega was 19. The movie follows a group of young filmmakers whose attempt to shoot an adult film in rural Texas takes a terrifying turn.

Interestingly, Ortega later revealed that one of her intimate scenes in “X” wasn’t originally included in the script when she accepted the role.

Despite the unexpected addition, she spoke positively about the experience and praised the film’s intimacy coordinator for creating a comfortable working environment.

Similarly, “Miller’s Girl” employed intimacy coordinator Kristina Arjona, who emphasized the importance of communication, boundaries, and continuous consent throughout filming.

While some viewers have questioned Ortega’s involvement in these controversial scenes, others see her performances as evidence of her willingness to explore challenging roles beyond her famous teenage characters.
