A woman believed to be around 30 years old was found alive but in an extremely weak and emaciated condition on May 17, 2025, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

The woman was discovered at approximately 11:10 a.m. in a plot of land near the intersection of Keng Road and Win Win Boulevard, in Sangkat Bak Kheng, Khan Chroy Changvar. Her identity was not immediately known.

According to information from the scene, a citizen riding a motorbike had passed the area at around 5:30 a.m. and noticed the woman lying near the roadside. At the time, however, the situation did not attract immediate attention.

Several hours later, the matter was reported to police at approximately 11 a.m. Officers quickly arrived at the location to inspect the scene and assess the woman’s condition.

Witnesses described the woman as extremely thin and appearing seriously unwell. There were also indications that she may have recently been discharged from a hospital, although details surrounding her medical history and how she came to be at the location remained unclear.

Local authorities contacted an ambulance, which arrived at the scene and transported the woman to Prek Phon Health Center for medical examination and treatment.

The incident highlights how vulnerable people can sometimes remain unnoticed in busy urban environments. While countless individuals pass through the streets each day, someone in desperate need of help can easily go unseen.
