I SAW AN ADULT WOMAN WITH MULTIPLE PIERCINGS AND TATTOOS IN CHURCH

Last Sunday, I saw a tattooed, pierced woman at church, challenging my belief that modest dress reflects reverence. Was it time to rethink church attire?

When I suggested a more subdued look, she replied, “How I look has nothing to do with you.” Her words made me question if my discomfort was rooted in outdated beliefs. Should worship be about appearance or faith?

Focusing on dress can overshadow church’s true purpose—unity and connection with God. Everyone’s journey is unique, and judgment prevents deeper understanding.

Respect for tradition matters, but so does personal expression. Encouraging thoughtful attire, rather than enforcing rules, fosters inclusivity.

Jesus welcomed all, regardless of appearance. True faith isn’t about clothing—it’s about sincerity, connection, and acceptance.
