Tragedy struck in Texas as 11-year-old Jocelynn Rojo Carranza took her own life on February 8 after enduring relentless bullying. Her mother revealed that classmates mocked her family’s immigration status and even threatened to call ICE, leaving Jocelynn feeling hopeless.

Despite reportedly seeking counseling at school, her mother was never informed of the extent of the bullying. The school district stated they take bullying seriously but did not confirm if they were aware of Jocelynn’s situation.

Jocelynn, a loving daughter and friend, was laid to rest as her family and community mourned. Her story serves as a heartbreaking reminder of the devastating impact of bullying and the urgent need for change.
