Matilda Callaghan’s journey has been one of resilience and strength.
Born in 2012, her parents initially thought she had a bruise, but doctors later diagnosed her with **Sturge-Weber syndrome**, a rare neurological disorder. Despite facing **paralysis, learning difficulties, seizures, and even two holes in her heart**, Matilda fought through surgeries and ongoing laser treatments to remove her birthmark.
Though people often stare or judge, her father wishes they could see past appearances: *”I wish they could see what a wonderful little angel she is.”*
Now 8 years old, Matilda continues to inspire, and her family remains proud of their brave little fighter.
