A routine car trip in Thailand turned into an unexpected ordeal for Boontom Chaimoon, 55, and his wife, Amnuay Chaimoon, 49. During a 3 a.m. restroom stop, Boontom accidentally drove off, leaving Amnuay stranded without her phone.

With no way to contact her husband, Amnuay bravely walked 12.5 miles alone in the dark to reach a police station. Authorities helped reunite the couple, with Boontom shocked upon learning what had happened.
