Miriam Rodríguez Martínez from San Fernando, Mexico, relentlessly pursued members of the Los Zetas Cartel after the 2012 kidnapping and murder of her 20-year-old daughter, Karen. Despite paying the ransom, Karen was kiIIed, and her remains were found in 2014.

Miriam tracked down and helped capture at least ten cartel members using disguises, fake IDs, and a toy gun. Her bravery led to critical ar. rests, including a key figure nicknamed Sama, who revealed vital details about Karen’s murder.

Tragically, on Mother’s Day 2017, Miriam was fatally sho.t outside her home. She remains a symbol of courage and justice, inspiring a group of 600 families led by her son, Luis, who continue searching for missing loved ones.
